Geometry of Jute Fiber with Epoxy Reinforcement for High Performance against Crushing

Published 2021-06-30

Abstract

A systematic study was conducted on investigating the natural jute fiber in composite with epoxy resin. The laminated fabrication was studied. Properties of several samples fabricated in shape and incorporated with epoxy matrix. The purpose of this work is to lamination a natural fiber” jute fiber” with epoxy resin in order to produce a compound that can give a good crushing behavior in the aspect of energy absorption and woven failure. The crushing characteristics of this composite material of laminated jute were studied experimentally. Three types of geometry namely circular, square and corrugated were prepared and subjected to careful investigation. All samples were tested for axial compressive loading. The axial crushing study of loading bearing capability shows a significant influence by a sample of corrugated geometry. The load-displacement plotting curve of the plotted load-displacement curves of the analysis is demonstrated in this study to investigate and support the geometrical specimen influence. The investigation found that the geometry of the specimen had a substantial impact on the jute composite's crashworthiness. Fi, Favg, EA, SEA, and VEA were all highest in the circular jute composite tubes. When it comes to jute fiber/epoxy resin design, the study found that circular geometry is the most excellent among the tools.
